We have met several times so far with the task of maximizing the current layout and plan for future expansion.

Here is the list of action items that we came up with and we are still open to new ideas.

  1. Safety plan for traffic

  2. Discuss current status playground.

  3. Handicapped / senior parking / walkways.

  4. Improved parking in general for soccer & lax

  5. Feasibility of utilizing the adjacent field for additional soccer / lax fields (neighbor concerns / street access)

  6.  Surveying existing and new fields for use

  7. Bathrooms

  8. Additional uses…pickle ball & tennis / dog park / skating rink / basketball

  9. Explore grants we can use.

  10. Grass vs synthetic fields

  11. Walking/Biking Paths

  12. Lighting and scoreboards

During our last meeting, The Fred Wolfe Park Committee unanimously voted to retain a consultant for a traffic and safety study at the park to address our existing playscape, fields, and roads to and from the park. We sent a letter to the BOS and they approved for the committee to begin the search for a consultant.

The BOS also provided a list of companies that not only do traffic and safety but can handle the future development of the park.

To date, we have heard from 3 consulting companies.  A group of us met with BL Companies today and we are working on meeting with the other 2 ASAP.
