Dear Neighbors,
The election may not have given us all of the wins we wanted but there are important takeaways. First, congratulations to incumbents Mitch Goldblatt, PJ Shanley, Kevin McNabola, Santo Galatioto, Jr. and Randy Thomas. Big congratulations to our newly elected representatives, Jennifer Blando Jacquet to the Amity Board of Education, Erin Wilson and Lauren Gray to the Orange Board of Education, and Byron Crosdale, Jr. as a Constable.
This election wasn't only about winning. It was about a new way forward for the Orange Democrats in the Town of Orange. We did things differently for the first time. Change takes time and I am confident the numbers are showing that change is in the wave headed to Orange, it's just taking a little longer to get here. The margins are shrinking. We have elevated our visibility in town. The foundation is here. Help us build on it.
To all of the candidates, thank you. It is not an easy task to run for office and be dedicated to it. Many of our candidates put in long hours. I applaud them, thank them and thank their families. Please hold your heads high today and know that you are part of something that is larger than one election. We can all take some time to relax and will regroup at our next meeting November 18 at High Plains Community Center.
Thank you, Jody Dietch Chair, Orange Democratic Town Committee
Congratulations to our incredible Orange Democratic candidates who won seats on our Boards! They brought new ideas, heart, and teamwork to the campaign, strengthening our community every step of the way. This is just the beginning!
