Future of Orange Schools Starts with Your Vote

By Kelly Billings, Lauren Gray, Josh Orlinsky, Erin Wilson - Orange Board of Education Candidates

First and foremost, we want to say how lucky Orange is to have such exceptional teachers, administrators and central office staff. Our administrators lead our schools with vision and care, balancing long-term goals and short-term needs all while maintaining personal connections.

With early voting starting on Oct. 20 and Election Day on Nov. 4, voters, including many parents, educators and students, will have an opportunity to choose how we move forward as a community.

As part of our efforts to listen to the community, we as the Democratic candidates for the Orange Board of Education are answering questionnaires, hosting open town halls, canvassing to talk to thousands of voters around Orange and listing our priorities based on what we’ve heard. We believe in collaboration, transparency, communication, trust and accountability.
We’re committed to ensuring the Orange Board of Education and our schools remain focused on students, and not on any national political agenda. It’s important to make sure our schools’ priorities are to serve students and educators, and do not allow partisanship or ongoing external pressures to become an influence.

Here’s what’s most important: leaders who listen, who trust teachers and who put students first. That’s what we as the Democratic candidates have shown through our priorities, values and experience.

We’re asking for your vote as the Democratic candidates for the Orange Board of Education. As parents of students in our Orange school system, we are invested in our schools. We believe in strong public education, supported educators and a thriving community.

Vote like your child’s education depends on it. Vote like your community depends on it. Vote for the future of Orange.
